This trick does not need a huge speed. I still recommend a diabolo with ball-bearings

Before starting this trick, you should train just the kick. For that purpose, make a "spinning top" (see prerequisit) , hit, slowly the diabolo with the foot then catch it up. When you succeeded the catch up, you may begin the complete trick.

Start as for a normal genocide, but when you release the left stick and the diabolo is still in the string, pull with the right hand towards you so that the diabolo stops its horizontal movement (movement towards the right). Give a kick as with the "spinning top" and finish your genocide normally. You should not think about the movement of the flying stick, but just concentrate on the diabolo.

The fact of stopping the movement of the diabolo by pulling the right stick towards you, allows you to meet in the same situation as when you made the "spinning top" trick.
It is easier to kick the diabolo when it falls vertically.
To kick the diabolo, I use the shin and I use protection. I do not kick with the point of the foot because it is too random according to me. Avoid sending the diabolo too much near or too much far from you, it leads to a more difficult genocide. Use a rather short string to facilitate the genocide.
